寺大学 is committed to fostering an environment in which all members of our community are safe, 安全, and free from sexual misconduct of any form, 包括, 但不限于, 性侵犯, 性剥削, 跟踪, 约会暴力, and domestic violence. 寺大学’s Sexual Violence and Sexual Misconduct policy recognizes the significant impact sexual violence and sexual misconduct can have on individuals who have been subjected to it.
The policy offers resources that are available to individuals who have been victims of sexual violence and sexual misconduct, as well as procedures to follow in reporting incidents of sexual violence and sexual misconduct.
The policy applies to any allegation of sexual violence or sexual misconduct made by or against a 寺大学 student or a 寺大学 staff or faculty member on campus, College centers or in any College-sponsored activity on or off campus/centers.
Reports of sexual violence or sexual misconduct will be taken seriously and addressed in accordance with 寺大学 policies or Texas Criminal Codes that are rel伊娃nt to the committed act.
Sexual violence and sexual misconduct are forms of sex discrimination prohibited by 第九条 of the Education Amendments of 1972 .第九条 also prohibits retaliation against people for making or participating in complaints of sex discrimination.
If you have been the victim of sexual misconduct/sexual violence on campus, you have two options:
- Report the incident to the 校园警察 or local police
- Report the incident to the College’s 第九条协调员
The 校园警察 Department has officers who are specially trained to work with individuals reporting sexual violence. They can help you review your options and help you seek support such as medical attention, counseling services and legal assistance. The 校园警察 Department can also assist in reporting assaults to other law enforcement agencies.
Reports of sexual misconduct made to the 校园警察 will automatically be reported to the College’s 第九条协调员 regardless of whether the individual who experienced the sexual misconduct chooses to pursue criminal charges.
